Blue Ridge Impact Consulting (BRIC), a boutique consulting firm, led by Founder Ameena Zia, Ph.D., is dedicated to driving change through systems management, capacity building, and evidence-driven research within the international development space. We specialize in creating impactful solutions that address complex global challenges by collaborating with governments, international organizations, non-profits, and the private sector to design and implement tailored strategies for sustainable growth and development.

Our Timeline

2015

Stakeholder at the United Nations deliberations on behalf of York College at the City University of New York and assisted in the monumental facilitation of he UN Global Goals.

2016

Began facilitating NGO engagement at the United Nations to research and strategize for the private sector.

2017

Expanded vision to include innovative, holistic, and substantive approaches to participation and engagement.

2018

Expanded its focus to include private sector stakeholder engagement at the High-Level Political Forum, UN Data Forum, and various commissions.

2019

Focused on areas of dis-aggregate data, re-imagining global partnerships, and facilitating community engagement that was inclusive, substantive, and impactful.

Our team in Dallas, Texas helps clients partner with local communities to support, encourage, and catalyze expansion through public and private investment in physical development and redevelopment. Our approach recognizes the Addis Ababa Action Agenda as a new global framework for financing sustainable development and helps clients align financial flows and policies with economic, social, and environmental policies.

Closely aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including SDG 1 No Poverty, SDG 2 Zero Hunger, and SDG 3 Good Health and Well-Being, our team in St. Louis, utilizes a multi-stakeholder approach to help define local, regional, and global challenges of food as they relate to all people, at all times, in physical, social, and economic spaces and with accessibility to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food.

Our Western North Carolina team exclusively focuses on rethinking education in a world of rapid transformation. Grounded in the foundational principles of a humanistic approach to education governance, our work is dedicated to helping clients re-contextualize their education commitments. We advocate for public policy dialogue and forward-looking research on learning systems for the 21st century.

In particular, we are deeply committed to addressing learning poverty and promoting experiential learning. By focusing on creating educational experiences that go beyond traditional models, we aim to empower learners with the skills, knowledge, and critical thinking abilities needed to thrive in a dynamic global landscape. BLUE RIDGE @ UNITED NATIONS

Our team in New York City plays a key role in facilitating the firm’s representation at the United Nations, supporting both organizations and individuals in participating in various High-Level Meetings, Ministerial Forums, and Commissions throughout the year. Additionally, they manage our unique UN Experiential Fellowship in collaboration with Blue Ridge Impact Foundation.

Our experienced team in Jacksonville, Florida works together with clients in healthcare and technology sectors to achieve equitable health outcomes.
