Blue Ridge Impact Consulting (BRIC) is a social impact firm established to facilitate and promote systems management, capacity building/training, and evidence-generation, research and stakeholder partnerships approach to solutions in the areas of Digital Health Ecosystems, Nutrition and Food Security, Energy and Environment, and Good Governance and Human Rights.

Under the leadership of Founder, Dr. Ameena Zia, BRIC strives to be a key private-sector player in providing strategy consulting services, leadership, and skills development in conferences/workshops/seminars, evaluation, reviews, assessment and oversight, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and performance audits aligned with impactful development.

Our Philosophy

Our consulting philosophy centers on developing positive change agents around principles of collective impact, shared values, and a systems-thinking approach to solutions. By utilizing holistic solutions models, we focus on securing partnerships and collaborations with key networks while strategically ensuring stakeholder participation. We aim to build awareness and foster dialogue around the fast-growing multidisciplinary and collaborative solution economy dedicated to solving complex social challenges.

What We Offer

Dr. Zia has engaged in high-level stakeholder and partnership engagement at the United Nations since 2015. The BRIC team provides and promotes organizational and individual capacity building, development and well-being through health tourism, training, mentoring, technical assistance, capacity-building tours, and curricular development. BRIC also develops strategic projects and programs management approaches including strategic plans, operational blueprints, workflows, M&E plans, initiatives, activity plans, business plans aligned with the sustainable development framework, project planning, and program management.

Our Timeline

2015

Stakeholder at the United Nations deliberations on behalf of York College at the City University of New York and assisted in the monumental facilitation of he UN Global Goals.

2016

Began facilitating NGO engagement at the United Nations to research and strategize for the private sector.

2017

Expanded vision to include innovative, holistic, and substantive approaches to participation and engagement.

2018

Expanded its focus to include private sector stakeholder engagement at the High-Level Political Forum, UN Data Forum, and various commissions.

2019

Focused on areas of dis-aggregate data, re-imagining global partnerships, and facilitating community engagement that was inclusive, substantive, and impactful.

2020

Focused on areas of dis-aggregate data, re-imagining global partnerships, and facilitating community engagement that was inclusive, substantive, and impactful.

Our team in Dallas, Texas helps clients partner with local communities to support, encourage, and catalyze expansion through public and private investment in physical development and redevelopment. Our approach recognizes the Addis Ababa Action Agenda as a new global framework for financing sustainable development and helps clients align financial flows and policies with economic, social, and environmental policies.

Our team in Chicago, Illinois, helps clients build impact through their work by incorporating the UN AGENDA 2030 into organizational structures to ensure local & regional partnerships to prevent, manage, and overcome community situations that adversely affect people's well-being.

Closely aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including SDG 1 No Poverty, SDG 2 Zero Hunger, and SDG 3 Good Health and Well-Being, our team in St. Louis, utilizes a multi-stakeholder approach to help define local, regional, and global challenges of food as they relate to all people, at all times, in physical, social, and economic spaces and with accessibility to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food.

Our Asheville, North Carolina team exclusively focuses on rethinking education in a world of rapid transformation. Utilizing foundational principles of a humanistic approach to education governance, our work aims to help clients re-contextualize education commitments to collectively call for public policy dialogue and forward-looking research on learning systems in the 21st century.

Our team on the ground in NYC helps facilitate the firm's representation at the United Nations for our clients, both organizations and individuals, and manages our unique UN Experiential Fellowship.

Our experienced team in Jacksonville, Florida works together with clients in healthcare and technology sectors to achieve equitable health outcomes.
